it's the first day of spring and i'm freezing my ass off. it's sunny but cold.. 37 degrees right now. brrrr.
so i went to go play some poker after work last night.. i realized that i had left my license at home.. they don't usually card me since most of the employees know me.. (sad, i know).. however, there was a new security guard at the entrance.. i pulled out my expired license which i keep in my wallet and he let me in.. anyway.. while i was waiting for my seat i decided to hit the paigow table.. bad idea. i blew 100 in less than ten minutes. stupid, stupid. after that, i walked away.. one of the dealers was like.. "just play 4/8 for a bit since it might be a while".. why not.. so this korean ahjusshi sprints to grab seat number 5.. i, in turn.. get seat 6.. whatevers. i don't have a preference as to which seat i get like some people. first hand was shitty, i muck. it kept coming like that until i was big blind. pocket 10's. i was forced to play.. i mean i would have played them anyway.. but this was the first hand that i actually decide to play.. flop comes 10 6 4 hearts.. i thought about betting since there was a flush out there.. and someone could catch the fourth one.. he checked. i checked. there were two other players in the pot which made it $12 total.. you need a minimum of $10 in order to qualify for a jackpot. turn is a queen.. and i yell to the dealer.. "one more".. bam. a 10. woot woot. i didn't even look to see how much quad 10's paid out. $500, baby. gyeah. first hand i play i hit a jackpot. mister man in seat 5 wasn't too happy. hah. oh yeah, i also hit a royal flush two weeks ago. i flopped that sucker. unbelievable, eh? that didn't pay much though. i had to run home and get my passport though since my id wasn't valid.

im surprised when people tell me they leave their license home, but have their wallets with them.

wow. i don't play often at these small poker places you seem to frequent. i've never heard of these jackpot payouts for quads.

Gosh...you should be so honored to be carded. Nowadays, they look at my license and I can't get into places because of the upper age limit.
Sounds like a good enough day at the gambling.
