potluck.
i'm having a potluck at work tomorrow.. my coworkers kept insisting that i 'make and bring one of my special asian dishes'.. pft.. you know what that means.
so after contemplating for the past few days on what to bring.. it hit me.. duh.....
wa-la..
i realize it's upside down.. i took it with my phone so bear with me..
can you see the grease glistening? haha.. i must have used at least half a gallon of vegetable oil, at least half a cup of MSG.. and 2 cans of spam.. imagine what eating this would do to your arteries..
do you think people will be reluctant to eat this if they see that the cook herself won't even touch it?

Why the msg? Spam has enough flavoring to handle 2 of those. Don't underestimate the power of SPAM.
They'll eat it. At least, they'll try it!
shut up you can't resist that shit.
i've found that if you encourage the stereotype about asians eating cats and dogs, people will avoid asking you for "asian" dishes. i think it helped stop the asshole that kept stealing my lunch.
i never knew spam was an asian dish.
fried rice? where's the kimchee?
Fuck. I mean, on one hand, we can try to break the stereotype and bring something "normal," or on the other we can bring something Asian, but not one of the more commonly known dishes, and on the freakish third hand, we can bring something stereotypical because other people will probably bring shitty dishes. We're screwed no matter what!
I feel sorry for your husband if he doesn't know how to cook...
